ST. PAUL, Minn. - Six Luther women track and field distance runners raced in the 5000-meter run on Thursday night at Macalester College. The Norse sent six runners with Mari Paulsen and Sarah Schmidt finishing fifth and sixth. 

Paulsen clocked a time of 19:10.22 and Schmidt was close behind at 19:10.56. Both are new personal best times. 

Other personal best times were set by Norah McDonald, Makaylee Jensen and Annika Veit.

The Norse will compete at the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, April 26. Field events begin at 10 a.m. followed by track events at 11 a.m. in St. Peter, Minn.
