ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Thirteen Luther women's track and field athletes set personal bests at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana (IL) Thursday, April 17 through Friday, April 18. No team scores were kept at the meet.
Katie Dailey finished third in the high jump with a mark of 1.59m (5-02.50).
Personal Bests
Grace Landmesser competed in the heptathlon setting new personal bests in the 100 hurdles (24.42) and shot put (7.16m).
In the 1500,
Sarah Schmidt (5:07.77),
Norah McDonald (5:15.84) and
Makaylee Jensen (5:22.61).
Lindsey Moseley and
Annika Veit in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Moseley finished eighth (12:25.58) and Veit recorded a time of 12:54.84.
In field events,
Eleanor Lefort,
Lucy Hanson,
Ashley Imdieke set new marks in the hammer throw. Lefort still ranks fourth all-time improving her new mark to 45.24m (148-05). Hanson posted a mark of 35.65m (116-11) and Imdieke's distance on the throw was 33.80m (110-10).
Linnea Hedin and Abby Russeth set new heights in pole vault. Hedin set a new best mark of 3.00m (9-10.00) and Russeth set a new best at 2.55m (8-04.25).
