MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The Luther women's track and field team began their season at the Cornell Winter Classic on Friday, Dec. 6. Four Norse picked up second place finishes including Annika Elco (60-meter hurdles), Emily Groppoli (200), Katie Dailey (high jump), and Julianne Lundvall (shot put). No team scores were kept at the meet. 

Zoe Rahberg's time in the 60-meter dash is eighth all-time at 8.40. 

60-meter - Rahberg - 5th - 8.40

60-meter hurdles - Elco - 2nd - 9.49

200 - Groppoli - 2nd - 28.88

400 - Ava Cummings - 3rd - 1:05.16

1000 - Morgan Kane - 8th - 3:32.96

High Jump - Dailey - 2nd - 1.49m

Long Jump - Amara Marks - 4th - 4.69m

Pole Vault - Linnea Hedin (3rd - 2.60m), Abby Russeth (4th - 2.30m)
 
Shot Put - Lundvall (2nd - 10.72m), Ashley Imdieke (10th - 9.74m)

Weight Throw - Eleanor Lefort set a new personal record with her mark of 12.18m. She finished fourth. Imdieke (10th - 10.37m).

4x200 Relay - Elco, Rahberg, Groppoli, Marks finished third with a time of 1:53.80.
