Sam Thompson allowed six hits, all singles, en route to her first shutout of the year, during Luther's 5-0 victory over Massachusetts Institute of Technology this afternoon in Clermont, Fla.
Luther scored two runs in both the second and third innings and one in the sixth, securing its sixth win against four losses.

Emily Versnik and
Abby Spore. Versnik and Spore reached base on walks.
In the third,
Morgan Hogenson led off with a double to left field.
Sydney Schultz followed with a single to left. Hogenson scored thanks to a sacrifice fly to center by
Kyal Heydt and Schultz scored on an infield error by MIT.
Heydt drove in the final run of the game with a double to right-center field that scored
Emily Fell who led-off the inning with an infield single.
Luther will return to action tomorrow when it will face Buffalo State University at 9:15 a.m. and Trinity College (CT) at 11:30 a.m.
