Luther hosted its first of two American Rivers Conference indoor triangular meets today. Loras College won the team event with 143 points, Luther was second with 86 and Coe College was third with 34.
Individually,
Amelia Hornseth and Abby Faulk posted first place finishes. Hornseth led a trio of Norse distance runners across the finish line in the 3000 meters. Hornseth (10:54.61) edged out teammate
Lauren Berg (10:54.69) at the finish line, while
Peyton McClure finished third (11:32.26).
Faulk won the pole vault with a clearing height of 9-6 1/4 that ranks tied for fourth on Luther's all-time indoor list.
Grace Davidson qualified for the finals in the 55 meter dash. Davidson was clocked at (7.71) in the prelims and placed seventh in the finals with a time of (7.76). Davidson also placed third in the long jump (15-3 1/2).

Rose Sieve in the 200 meter dash (3rd - 27.04) and the 55 meter hurdles (3rd - 9.05);
Stephanie Lewis 800 meters (2nd - 2:26.04);
Anneke Knauss 800 meters (3rd - 2:26.24);
Maggie Haller 400 meters (3rd - 1:03.95);
Kaelyn Kurtenbach-Winch high jump (3rd - 4-4 1/4) and triple jump (3rd - 31-5 3/4);
Gabbie Schei pole vault (8-6 1/4); and the 4 x 400 relay team of Sieve, Keller, Haller and Lewis (3rd - 4:16.41).

Luther returns to action next Saturday, Feb. 20 when it will travel to the Central Triangular. Simpson College will also be competing. Start time is 12:00 p.m.
