The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College senior Brook Norwood (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley) has been named the league's Performer of the Week for men's tennis for the week ending Sunday, March 14, 2021. This is the first time of his career he has been so honored.
Norwood helped lead Luther to A-R-C victories over Simpson College (9-0) and Central College (9-0) that improved Luther's overall record to 4-2.
In singles, Norwood defeated Simpson’s Reade Reiter (6-0, 6-0) at No. 1 and Central’s Brad DiLeo (6-0, 6-3) at No. 4.
Norwood and his partner Max Loen competed at No. 2 doubles in both matches, defeating Simpson’s Reiter and Brett DeWerff (8-1) and Central’s David Boschma and Trey Melvin (8-4).
Norwood and Loen are now 8-3 in doubles play and he is 4-2 in singles competition.
