For the second week in a row the American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College junior pitcher Kendra Cooper has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 7, 2021. This is the third time she has been so honored.
This past weekend, Cooper went 2-0 and helped lead Luther to wins over the University of Northwestern-St. Paul (10-1) and St. Mary's University (MN) (15-0) in five innings. She pitched six innings against Northwestern and five against St. Mary's. She allowing five hits, walked three, and struck out 12 batters, all while not allowing an earned run to cross the plate.
She is 5-0 and in 28 innings of work thus far, she has not allowed an earned run.
The Norse ended the weekend with an overall record of 8-2.
