The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College senior Donovan Corn (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) has been named the wrestling Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.
Corn was crowned the champion at 197 at the Cliff Keen Mike Duroe Invitational hosted by Cornell College Saturday, January 15. Nationally ranked at No. 12, Corn posted a record of 3-0 en route to his title. He defeated Richard Hunter of Loras by fall (1:38) in his opening match. In the semifinals, he defeated Parker Venz of Augsburg by fall (2:41), and in the title bout he defeated No. 9-ranked Bently Schwanebeck-Ostermann of Augsburg (5-2).
With his three victories, Corn is now 14-4 that includes nine falls.
