The American Rivers Conference has announced that Will Overberg (Sr., Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) has been named the men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 25, 2021. This is the first time he has been so honored.
Overberg helped lead Luther to a 4-2 victory over Central College on Saturday, Sept. 25 scoring two goals, including the game winner. He scored at 3:12 assisted by Faydane Ouro-Akondo (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest) that gave the Norse a 2-1 advantage, and scored the game winner unassisted at 57:43.
Overberg leads the Norse, who are now 5-3 overall, in scoring with seven goals and four assists for 18 points.
