  • McDonough the men's wrestling team competed at the Pointer Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, Nov. 1.
  • He captured first place in the 165-bracket going undefeated at 4-0.
  • He won three matches by fall over Joseph Spizzirri (UW-Oshkosh – 1:21), Mekhi Cave (North Central – 3:43), and Matthew Jens (Wisconsin – 2:30).
  • McDonough won the championship match by major decision over Paolo Salminen (Minnesota State Mankato) 12-4.
