The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College junior pitcher Collin Chalmers (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 11, 2021. This is the first time he has been so honored during his career.
This past weekend, Luther swept the four-game A-R-C series against Buean Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Chalmers picked up saves in three of the four games bringing his saves total to four on the season. During his three appearances, he pitched 4 1/3 innings and did not give up a hit, walked one and struck out four of the 13 batters he faced.
Luther improved to 15-5 and sits atop the A-R-C standings with a record of 11-1.
