The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College senior Tyler Boesel (Scandia, Minn./Forest Lake) has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 4, 2021. This is the first time he has been son honored during his career.
Boesel pitched the first game of the four-game series at Central College and helped lead the Norse to a 3-2 victory. Boesel threw a complete game, allowed two runs on four hits, did not issue a walk and struck out six. He improved to 3-0 for the year and lowered his ERA to 0.38 having worked 24 innings.
Luther took 3-of-4 games in the series and improved to 7-1 in the A-R-C, 11-5 overall.
