CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Three Luther student-athletes were honored by the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) for their performances including
Elliot Lindberg,
Francesco Mungari (men's soccer) and
Bryce McDonough (men's wrestling).
Lindberg was recognized as the male athlete of the week along with being named the men's soccer defensive performer of the week. He helped the Norse to two clean sheets during the A-R-C Tournament and scored the game winning goal in the 12
th minute against Wartburg to win the championship title. The win gave Luther the automatic bid for the NCAA III Tournament.
Mungari was the men's soccer offensive player of the week after by scoring the game winning goal in overtime in the 89
th minute versus Central.
Over on the wrestling mat, McDonough went 4-0 at the Muskie Scramble hosted by Lakeland University (Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 8. All of his four wins were wins by tech fall with a combined score of 65-2. He is now 6-1 overall this season.
